A court in India has filed a legal notice with Bollywood actor Aamir Khan \u2013 for \u2018promoting\u2019 homosexuality on a TV show.<\/p>\n

According to the Free Press Journal<\/a>\u00a0newspaper, Mr Khan is accused by a petition of using his popular talk show\u00a0\u2018Satyamev Jayate\u2019 as a platform for homosexuality, with an LGBT-themed episode last week.<\/p>\n

During the episode, a\u00a0clinical expert\u00a0pointed out: \u201cIf I asked you today to not look at women, but consider men sexually, would you be able to do it? Then why expect that of a [homosexual] boy or girl?\u201d<\/p>\n

Anti-gay petitioners complain the episode violated a Supreme Court judgement reinstating Section 377 of the Penal Code \u2013 a colonial-era law which criminalises homosexual acts.<\/p>\n

Today, Judge Jaswinder Singh, issued notice to\u00a0Mr\u00a0Khan, who must file a reply by December 19.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
