Melanie Nathan \u2013 Jan 24, 2011- Two teenage girls in SONARPUR a village in South Parganas, India, committed suicide \u2013 because they were apparently in despair,\u00a0 unable to share their lives as a lesbian couple.\u00a0\u00a0 Police found the bodies of 19-year-old Bobby Saha and 17-year-old Puja Mondal.\u00a0 The post-mortem report says they took poison together and lay down to die, clutching each other\u2019s arms.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt appears that the two girls were in a relationship but they were depressed about the uncertainty of their future, which is why they committed suicide,\u201d said police superintendent L N Meena, according to the India Times.<\/a><\/p>\n
